The Making of Our Greeting Cards
Every Kartotek Copenhagen greeting card begins with an idea—something simple, heartfelt, and meaningful.
That idea is then brought to life through a hand-painted gouache illustration. Using soft, layered brushstrokes and carefully chosen colors, we create artwork that feels warm, personal, and timeless. The richness and texture of gouache allow for expressive details, giving each illustration its own unique character.
Once the illustration is complete, it’s transformed into a digital file and paired with a short, thoughtful message.
Then, it’s off to our trusted Danish print house, where it’s printed on 300 gsm high-quality Swedish creme white paper. Finally, each card is packed with a classic Kraft envelope—ready to be sent, gifted, or treasured.
All our greeting cards are proudly printed in Denmark and certified with both the FSC and Nordic Swan labels, ensuring sustainability without compromising on quality.
